The design of the single-family house on a 1,400m² plot focuses on the relationship between the interior and exterior spaces, with an emphasis on the lush garden that the plot offers. A series of different outdoor spaces, of varying scales, create points of interest for the development of the residence’s areas. Natural light, both through large openings towards the garden and carefully positioned skylights, takes the spotlight in shaping the spaces, offering a constantly changing experience of the interior. The variation in the height of the roof within the interior spaces distinguishes the different functional units without losing the sense of a unified space and the comfort it provides in its use. Externally, three stone constructions in a Γ shape define the different functional units of the residence and adapt the extensive surface of the enclosed spaces to a smaller, more intimate scale.
